Reviews on Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Black Ion-Plated Stainless Steel Watch #BM6555-54E???? I am looking for a solar powered black dressy watch, and this one looks nice. Just wanted to know if anyone has owned one and how they really are. If not, any other suggestions for black solar powered watches?

I don’t have any experience with that particular model, however, I have had an Eco-Drive for 8 years, and it has been great. It stopped for the very first time a couple of days ago. I think it just hadn’t been getting much light over the past couple of months due to winter and me wearing long sleeve shirts every day. I put it under a light for awhile and all seems good again. I figure if it only stops once every 8 years, that’s not bad at all.
I have a traditional stainless (silver) finish. It has accumulated a fair amount of scratches over the years on the band. It sounds like that is common with stainless steel. I probably just need to try to polish them out. The crystal face hasn’t scratched much at all.
Overall, I would certainly recommend the Eco-Drive line.
