Risk Question. Please answer urgently.?
I recently bought a CHI Air Pro-Expert Flat Iron “The Pure Pink” : CA 1080 from the States. Please note the following:
It is 120V ac, 60 Hz, 35W (US)
However, I am traveling with it to another Country where the house has 220V.
In the Owner’s Manual, it says that one cannot use a converter there.
My important question is: Can I use this flat iron in this Country with such information; I mean there is a difference between the “120V” and the “220V”?
I asked my sister who studies Engineering, but she says that we can use an adapter, that makes the flat iron adapt to the electric current, so it can work “safely”.
Is this possible, or can this cause any harm, or excess heat, and lead to serious jeopardy?

You need an AC Power adaptor (or transformer) 220V to 120 V and at least 40 Watts.
