How do I delete music from my CD-RW?
I keep going to “My computer” and I keep trying to delete the music from there but every time I try, I get an error saying “Cannot delete”song title”: files on this CD-ROM drive are read-only. You cannot copy or move files over to this CD-ROM drive.” I’m using a Staples CD-RW, is this the type that is rewritable?
You can’t delete just a few files from a CD-RW, you must erase all the CD-RW in order to reuse it. It doesn’t matter if the files on the CD-RW are “read only”, if it’s a CD-RW you can erase them and reuse the CD-RW unless it´s damaged. In simple words, if it’s a CD-RW you can erase it. Go to “My Computer” and open the “CD ROM Drive”. In the left panel you will se the “Erase this CD-RW” option. Just select it and that´s all.
