i want to buy a butterfly knife (balisong) but…..?
Ok i live in England and i want to get a training butterfly knife its got dull sides and no sharp point and it can not be sharpened i have one in mind but i don’t know if there legal in England

Tom, ignore Shaqe. As you know, a “training” balisong is about as dangerous as a spoon and as such is NOT considered a weapon. In fact since a training balisong can’t be sharpened, a spoon could be made more dangerous. although some states allow you to own and carry a balisong and some dont a training balisong is not the same. just as with fighting nungchucks and training nungchuks. The later is made out of foam and as deadly as a paper bag. Your best bet would be to pop into your local police station with a pic and specs and go from there but to the best of my knowledge no one, not even jolly old england, has declared the type you are talking about as illegal. Also if you look online you can find a balisong bottle opener which will serve the same purpose for training. also, because of how rare they are, they can be considered collectors items and you may be able to get a working origional with a collectors license.
