What CD, if any, is the song “Something Like Me” by Staind on?
I’m a huge huge Aaron Lewis and Staind fan. I’m going to his solo acoustic tour at the Hard Rock Orlando this month. I’ve heard like everything by them over the years, but the other day I found this song “Something Like Me” it was a live acoustic recording from what sounded like a small show from 2005. He said it would most likely be on his next CD. Is this on a CD that you guys know of or was that after the release of their newest CD and just a new song? I’ve only found the lyrics for it in one place so far.

Yeah, I have it downloaded already. I found it ONE TIME and I haven’t been able to find it since so I’m happy I did. I already made it a ringtone lol. I don’t share it though, its on my phone only. Great song, I hope they release it.
There’s a STAIND song called ‘Something Like Me’ that has been floating around for a while now. Has it ever been officially released?
“No it hasn’t. You’ve heard that?”
Yeah, I’ve heard part of it before. I think Adam was pissed off because someone turned it into a cellphone ringtone.
“It was turned into a ringtone. We did find out. I’ve never understood how that happened? Because there were two songs that we did, that we really liked. We didn’t put them on the record and it really wasn’t because we didn’t think they were good songs, it was just that we had a sequencing of the record that we liked so we felt that these songs should be held off the record. ‘Something Like Me’ was one of them. So yeah, I never understood how that happened and we actually are looking into that.”
Would you look at putting it on a future release, as a b-side or something like that?
“Yeah, either a future release or a soundtrack somewhere. It’s just always good to have some songs that are done that might not get released. You never know what might come up?”
