how do i make a portable ipod charger?
i want to make a portable ipod harger like the altoids tin thing. i have a battery pack of 4 AAA batteries wired to a female usb port. now i remebr reading that the green and white wires are signal or data wires that tell the ipod that it can start accepting the charge. someone said to short them out so and electrical signal is sent to the ipod and it will begin charging. how do i do that? or are there any other ideas?
If you’re looking to short out two wires, simply splice them together (twist the two copper ends together). If you hook a battery pack directly to your Ipod, there’s a good change you are going to fry something. I would recommend you find a project that walks you through it step by step.
